Crystal Charged Organic Nail Polish Remover. Yeah Right
I don’t mind a little creative copy writing but I do mind when companies totally disrespect my intelligence. That’s why I’m upset about G2 Organics new nail polish: They claim it’s organic. And that it’s powered by crystals. As the Left Brain would point out, the only thing proven to be powered by crystals is the Starship Enterprise. (That’s a joke for all you Trekkers out there.)
Outrageous organics
HAPPI magazine reports that G2 Organics Nail Polish Remover contains aloe vera extract, Vitamin E, butyl diglycol and ethyl alcohol derived from grain. (Like that makes a difference.) But the best part is that it contains a “genuine quartz crystal to amplify the Reiki energy and represent overall well being.”
Unfortunately, as the Skeptics Dictionary points out, the belief that crystals have any special powers is NOT based on science. It’s nothing more than “testimonials, the placebo effect, selective thinking, wishful thinking, the Forer effect, sympathetic magic, and communal reinforcement.”
So shame on G2 Organics for trying to trick you into spending more than you need to on nail polish remover.
